You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
Isaiah 26:3–4
Peace can feel like something we have to chase.
We try to earn it by solving problems, fixing relationships, or organizing our life.
But Isaiah reminds us that peace isn’t achieved, it’s received.
Peace comes from trust. Not from understanding everything, but from believing that God already does. It’s the quiet confidence that even when life feels uncertain, God isn’t.
Perfect peace doesn’t mean the absence of chaos. It means the presence of calm in the middle of it. When our minds stay focused on Him, our hearts begin to settle.
We start to remember that God is constant. He’s not moved by the headlines, the diagnosis, or the delay. He’s the Rock eternal.
So when anxiety rises and your thoughts begin to spiral, stop and remind yourself:
I can trust Him with this too.
And maybe that’s where peace begins. Not in control, but in surrender.
Prayer
Lord, thank You that You are unshaken by the things that shake me.
Keep my mind steady on You when worry comes, and remind me that true peace is found in trusting You. Amen.
